CED Branding

CED Group

For CED Electrical group, Right Angle created the branding for the holding company as well as for their ‘family of sub-brands ‘Axiom Wiring Accessories’, ‘Meridian Lighting’, ‘Airmaster Heating and Ventilation’ and Profix Essentials’.

In the CED logo, we’ve designed the ‘C’ and ‘D’ to represent a screw head, with the ‘E’ sitting between them to form a negative space 2 pin electrical plug.

With all of our designs, we start from the sketchbook and then develop each idea up to the final digital artwork stage.

Axiom Electrical

The first of the CED ‘family of brands’ is Axiom Electrical. Our design solution is to have one of the bars of the ‘X’ as part of the underline, forming an electrical circuit breaker. We then used the deep orange of copper wiring as the brand colour. 

Meridian Lighting

The second of the CED ‘family of brands’ is Meridian Lighting. Our design solution is to have the Meridian letters rising up over the arc of a solar meridian. As most of the lights they produce are energy-saving eco bulbs, we chose a fresh green as the brand colourway.

Airmaster Heating & Ventilation

The third in the CED ‘family of brands’ is Airmaster Heating & Ventilation. Our design solution is to represent airflow by having the bar of the ‘A’ as a gentle airwave. We used sky blue as the brand colour. 

Profix Essentials

The final sub-brand in the CED brand family is Profix Essentials. Our solution is to have the ‘F’ of ‘Fix’ form a rivet through the ‘O’ of ‘Pro’.

To keep things consistent, professional and maintain a visual link between all elements, we’ve used the same typeface across all of the CED family of brands.
