Job description
We’re looking for an enthusiastic Website Designer to expand our Design Team, who is eager to learn and develop their career. You will be part of an experienced and skilled team, working on a wide variety of existing and new client websites. Experience with WordPress, custom coding knowledge and working on responsive web design. On top of this, you may be expected to support the team on branding, print, promotions and packaging design projects.
We’re a small, friendly creative branding and marketing design agency, working for some of the countries largest businesses, so you’ll be involved in all aspects of the design process. Regular team social drinks, bonus and pension scheme.
Responsibilities and Duties
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Building and configuration of new WordPress website and blogs
- Supporting and troubleshooting existing client websites
- Performing detailed functional, navigation and cross browser testing
- Knowledge and experience of accessibility standards and testing
- Ability to convert mock-ups to valid cross-browser HTML
- Strong knowledge of SEO and technical optimisation techniques
- Design and build of HTML emails
- Understanding of basic DNS configurations & server configs such as CDNs
- Experience of using Google Analytics and setting up tracking and goals
- Help with ongoing maintenance clients
- Liase with studio manager, clients and project managers

Required SkillsThe ideal web developer must have solid experience of:
- HTML5 / CSS3
- Wordpress
- A good appreciation of design, usability and interactivity
- Creative skills to turn clients’ ideas into workable plans
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong responsive web design portfolio
Preferred Additional Qualifications/Skills
- Foundation degree, HND or degree in web development or web design
- Familiarity with Javascript frameworks such as Angular, Node.js and React
- Designing, developing and executing both large and small creative briefs to a high standard, from scamp to delivery
- Producing digital artwork for print/ online
- Design & build of websites, mailshots and web graphics
- Project managing large and small briefs, setting client expectations throughout the creative process
- Presenting and selling our businesses services to new and existing clients
Salary: £22,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
